Kraft
Unbleached brown paper or board known for strength and a natural look. Common for bags, takeaway boxes and cup exteriors.
Kraft refers to paper and board made by the kraft (sulphate) pulping process, which keeps the fibres long and strong. Left unbleached, it has the familiar warm brown colour; that natural, un-dyed look is a big part of its appeal for cafés and eco-minded brands.
Strength is the main draw. Kraft bags carry weight without tearing, and kraft board makes rigid takeaway boxes, food trays and cup exteriors. It's widely recyclable and, being paper-based, sits comfortably in a sustainability story — provided any lining or coating is accounted for.
For buyers, kraft is the default when you want durability plus a rustic, unbleached aesthetic, and it takes custom print well for branding. Where you need a bright white surface or a moisture barrier, a bleached or coated board may suit better — otherwise kraft is the reliable workhorse.
